Designing Harmony: Translating Social Values into Strategic Systems
I began this project as I was influenced by the voices outside the social commentaries. The following series of six pieces demonstrate how fashion can go beyond and above aesthetics. It acts as a tool to bridge individuals and question boundaries. When the South Korean crowd waved their light sticks to represent their favorite K-pop idols during the 2024 South Korea martial crisis, I realized how their individual voices came together to create a beautiful panorama. Furthermore, it came to me as a surprise that teenagers and young women were the main participants in the protest.
